Springboard Speech and Language is run by Chris and Hilary Platt, both qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapists. We are based in Denmead, Hampshire and work in the surrounding Meon Valley as well as Winchester, Portsmouth, Chichester, Petersfield and Fareham. We promote and develop children's speech and language skills through:
• Direct speech and language therapy for pre-school and school aged children.
We are able to provide a comprehensive and flexible range of speech therapy options for children aged 2 - 17 years. Please see our Therapy page for further details.
• Chitter Chatter groups for pre-school children and their parents/carers.
These groups are suitable for all children and aim to promote communication in a fun way through stories, music, play, drama, games and craft. We offer three different groups for children from 6 months to 4 years of age. Please see our Groups page for further details.
• Training and consultancy for Early Years settings and Schools.
We are experienced in designing and providing training for schools and nurseries and consult closely with them to design training to meet their specific needs. We can also deliver an adapted version of our Chitter Chatter groups as a training package to Early Years settings. This provides 'hands-on' training for staff to help them further develop children's listening and language skills in their setting. In keeping with our social objectives we ensure our training is affordable but will never compromise on quality.
We are a partnership organisation and aim to develop as a social enterprise. As such we have social objectives that we are committed to and aim to meet through our work.
